Jonadab the son of Rechab

(See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/translate-names)

Is your heart with me, as mine is with yours?

AT: "Will you be loyal to me, as I will be loyal to you?" or "Will you be faithful to me as I will be to you?" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-idiom)

It is

If using either of the alternate translations for the previous question, the answer would be AT: "I will."

If it is, give me your hand

AT: "If so, put your hand in mine" or "If so, let us shake hands." In many cultures, when two people shake hands, it confirms their agreement.

Jehu took him up to him into the chariot

"Jehu took Jonadab up into his chariot with him."

and see my zeal for Yahweh

"and you will see how devoted I am to Yahweh."

So he had Jonadab ride in his chariot

"So Jehu had Jonadab ride along with him in Jehu's chariot." (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-explicit)

just as was told them before by the word of Yahweh, which he had spoken to Elijah

AT: "to fulfill the prophecy that Elijah had spoken, which Yahweh gave to him." (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-activepassive)
