adorer, adoration
Définition:
« Adorer » signifie honorer, louer et obéir à quelqu'un, en particulier à Dieu.
- Ce verbe « adorer » signifie souvent et littéralement « s'incliner » ou « se prosterner » pour honorer humblement quelqu'un.
- Nous adorons Dieu lorsque nous le servons et l'honorons en le louant et en lui obéissant.
- Lorsque les Israélites adoraient Dieu, cela comprenait souvent le sacrifice d'un animal sur un autel.
- Certaines personnes adoraient de faux dieux.

- Le verbe « adorer » pourrait être traduit par « s'incliner devant » ou « honorer et servir » ou « honorer et obéir ».
- Dans certains contextes, « adoration » pourrait aussi être traduit par « l'acte de louer humblement » ou « ácte de rendre honneur et louanges ».
