Definition

The term "godly" is used to describe a person who acts in a way that honors God and shows what God is like. The character quality of honoring God by doing his will is referred to as "godliness".

• A person who has godly character will show the fruits of the Holy Spirit, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and self control.
