This continues the quotation from the prophet Jeremiah.
the house of Israel
The people of Israel are spoken of as if they were a house. Alternate translation: "the people of Israel" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metaphor)
after those days
"after that time"
I will put my laws into their minds
God's requirements are spoken of as if they were objects that could be placed somewhere. People's ability to think is spoken of as if it were a place. Alternate translation: "I will enable them to understand my laws" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metaphor)
I will also write them on their hearts
Here "hearts" is a metonym for a person's inner being. The phrase "write them on their hearts" is a metaphor for enabling people to obey the law. I will be their God
