Since she gathered her gifts from the wages of prostitutes, they will become the wages of prostitutes again
Yahweh speaks as if the people were hiring prostitutes. When the Assyrians destroy Samaria, they will take to Assyria the gifts the people of Samaria gave to their idols and give them as gifts to their own idols.
