He did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh

"He did things that Yahweh considers to be evil"

He did not leave behind any of the sins of Jeroboam

"Jehoash did not stop committing the same sins as Jeroboam" or "Jehoash kept committing the same sins as Jeroboam"

by which he had made Israel to sin

"by which Jeroboam had caused Israel to sin"

but he walked in them

"but Jehoash continued to do these same sins"
