# General Information:
In some versions this is 7:1, the first verse of chapter seven. In this verse either the friends speak to the woman and she replies, or the friends speak to the woman and the man replies, or the man speaks to the woman and she replies.
# Turn back ... gaze on you
the friends are speaking to the woman or the man is referring to himself in plural
# Turn back, turn back
"Come back, come back." This is repeated for emphasis.
# Shulammite
This word refers to the woman.

look intently for a long time

"Why do you gaze on me". The word "Shulammite" refers to the woman.
