Israel: Divided Kingdom
A. Important cities of the Northern Kingdom of Israel:
1. Samaria (capital of the Northern Kingdom)
2. Shechem, to the S. and E. of Samaria
3. Jaffa, along the W coast of Israel
4. Beit El; and Jericho along the S border with the Southern Kingdom of Judah.
B. Important cities of the Southern Kingom of Judah:
1. Jerusalem (capital of the Southern Kingdom)
2. Lachish, to the W of Jersusalem
3. Hebron, immediately S of Judah, in the middle of the Kingdom
4. Beersheba, the Southern most important city of Judah.
C. The Tribes of Israel (the Northern Kingdom) were: Zebulun, Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, Dan, Manasseh, Ephraim, Reuben and Gad. (Levi is not included.)
D. The Tribes of Judah (the Southern Kingdom) were: Benjamin and Judah. (Levi is not included.)
