# Cuerpo de Cristo
The “body of Christ” is a metaphor. It is used to talk about the church (see: Colossians 1:24). In the same way a person’s body has many parts, the "body of Christ" has many parts. Each Christian is a part of the body of Christ. Each Christian serves the church and Jesus in a certain way. Each person serves in their own way to do the things that honor God (see: 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; 14:12). Jesus is the “head” of the church (see: Ephesians 1:22; 5:23; Colossians 1:18). In the same way a person's head moves his body, Jesus is the one who guides and tells the church what to do.
El "cuerpo de Cristo" es una metáfora. Se utiliza para hablar sobre la iglesia (ver: Colosenses 1:24). En la misma forma en que el cuerpo de una persona tiene muchas partes, el "cuerpo de Cristo" tiene muchas partes. Cada cristiano es una parte del cuerpo de Cristo. Cada cristiano sirve a la iglesia y a Jesús de ceirta manera. Cada persona sirve en su propia manera para hacer las cosas que honran a Dios (ver: 1 Corintios 12:12-31; 14:12).
