This is a man whom the Philippian church sent to help to Paul in prison.

Epaphroditus was like a soldier in that he was trained and was dedicated to serving God, no matter how great the hardship he must suffer. Alternate translation: "fellow believer who works and struggles along with us"
your messenger and servant for my needs
"who brings your messages to me and helps me when I am in need"
