General Information:

Matthew quotes the prophet Hosea to show that the Christ would spend time in Egypt.

He remained

Mary and Jesus were with Joseph. Alternate translation: "They remained"

until the death of Herod

This phrase shows how long they stayed in Egypt. It does not say that Herod died at this point in the story.

Out of Egypt I have called my Son

"I have called my Son out of Egypt"
