Paul speaks of working hard to become like Christ as if he were a racer running hard to win a race. Alternate translation: "I keep running toward the goal to win the prize, which is God calling me upward in Christ Jesus" or "I keep trying to reach my goal and win the prize of God calling me to heaven because of Christ Jesus"
