Susan's changes

From Larry V's email. [[Susan's changes]] * Numbers chapters 22-35 have numerous duplicate verse numbers with alternate translations [[SQ. Verses were mixed in from other chapters. I removed the duplicate verses. See Issue 3.]] * 1 Chronicles 2:50 – multiple translations – this looks like a verse bridge spanning 2 chunks [[I deleted the extra "These were the descendants of Caleb" in verse 49.]] [[I deleted the extra verse 50 in that chunk.]] * 2 Chronicles 30:6 – multiple translations – Yes, 2 #6 spanning 2 chunks [[I deleted the first version of verse 6 and left the second one with the corrections.]] * Isaiah 6:12 – Extraneous text after verse 12?? [[I deleted the version version of God's answer in v11-12 and left the second.]] * Jeremiah 13:6 – multiple translations [[I deleted the first version of verse 6 and added Issue 4 in case I was wrong about which one to delete.]] * Mark 11:25 – footnotes must be marked [[SQ. I moved footnote to v 26 and added formatting.]] * Acts 24:6 – footnotes must be marked. [[SQ. I marked the footnote in v 6. See Issue 2.]]

Hi. Not all the text quoted above is from my email. I don't agree that the 1CH 2:50 situation looks like one verse spanning two chunks. Ditto for 2CH 30:6. In each case, the two versions of each verse read nearly the same.

SRQ - Sorry about that. The comments about spanning chunks were in red. They must have been Chris J's comments in her July 19 reply to you.

Also, there are about 15 NT footnotes which are translated simply as "undefined". These are in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, and Romans.

Numbers chapters 22-35 have numerous duplicate verse numbers with alternate translations.

Num 22:4-5 belongs to Num 23
Num 23 - This is really Num 24
Num 24 - This is really Num 25.
Num 25 - This is really Num 26.

I'll make a branch or fork for myself and try to fix it up there. Then I'll do a merge. DONE.

Veses marked "Undefined". English has the following footnotes. The footnotes were not translated into Tok Pisin (perhaps because they told about verses that the best ancient copies do not have.)

Mat 17:21 \v 21 \f + \ft The best ancient copies do not have v. 21, \fqa But this kind of demon does not go out except with prayer and fasting \fqa* . \f*

Mat 18:11 \v 11 \f + \ft The best ancient Greek copies do not have the sentence that some translations include, \fqa For the Son of Man came to save that which was lost \fqa* . \f*

Mat 23:14 \v 14 \f + \ft The best ancient copies do not have verse 14 (some copies add the verse after verse 12). \fqa Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows' houses, while you make a show of long prayers. You will therefore receive greater condemnation \fqa* . \f*

Mrk 7:16
Mrk 9:44
Mrk 9:46
Mrk 15:28

Luk 17:36
Luk 23:17

Jhn 5:4

Act 8:37
Act 15:34
Act 24:7
Act 28:29

Rom 16:24

This is getting long. I'll put these in separate issues: Issues 6-9.
