Pagan

In Bible times, the word "pagan" was used to talk about people who worshiped anything other than Yahweh. These people worshiped false gods. Anything these people did or used for worshiping false gods was also called “pagan.” For example, “pagan altars” and “pagan rituals” were the altars people used and the rituals people performed when they worshiped false gods.
