Hamor was a non-Jewish neighbor of Jacob.

After Jacob returned to his home land with his wives and children,, he bought a family burial ground from Hamor's sons.
Hamor's son Shechem raped Jacob's daughter Dinah; her brothers took revenge on Hamor and his family.
