## Definition
|
||
|

|
To "know" means to understand something or to be aware of a fact. This can apply to knowing things in both the physical and spiritual worlds.

* God has revealed facts about himself to people so they can know him.
|
||
|
* We know people because of what we tell each other and what we observe about each other.
|
||
|
* We also know facts about science, art or other areas of life by observing or studying them.
|
||
|
* the phrase "make known" is an idiom that means to reveal or tell information.

||

* In older English Bible versions, the term "know" is used to refer to sexual relations between a husband and wife.
