Zedekiah
Facts
Zedekiah was the last king of Judah (597-587 B.C.). There are also several other men named Zedekiah in the Old Testament.
- King Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he took the throne, after Nebuchadnezzer had deported most of the royalty to Babylon.
- Zedekiah consulted with Jeremiah and Ezekiel, but was not a good leader.
- He was captured after the siege of Jerusalem, brought before the king of Babylon and sentenced to watch his sons killed, after which he was blinded.
