Definition

The term "terror" refers to an emotion of extreme fear, fright, or deep dread of something or someone.

Terror can also be something or someone that causes great fear or dread.
An advancing, attacking army causes its enemies to feel terror.
The judgment of God will someday cause terror in unrepentant people who reject his grace.
The "terror of Yahweh" could be translated as, "the terrifying presence of Yahweh" or "the dreaded judgment of Yahweh."
