The Red Sea is a body of water that separates northern Africa from the Arabian Peninsula.

The Red Sea forms much of the eastern border of Egypt and is to the southwest of the Promised Land.
The Red Sea is long and narrow. It is larger than a lake or river, but smaller than an ocean.
The Israelites had to cross the Red Sea when they were fleeing from Egypt.
