Mishael is the name of three men in the Old Testament.

  • Mishael was one of Aaron's cousins, who along with another man was instructed to dispose of the bodies of two men who had desecrated the altar.
  • Another man named Mishael stood beside Ezra when he publicly read the rediscovered law.
  • Mishael was one of Daniel's three friends who was exiled to Babylon with him and who was renamed Meshach by the Babylonians. He, along with his companions, Shadrach and Abednego, refused to worship the king's statue and were thrown into a fiery furnace.
