A lion is a large, four-legged wild animal with teeth and claws for killing and tearing apart their prey.

Lions have powerful bodies and great speed to catch their prey.
Male lions have a mane of hair that encircles their heads.
Lions kill other animals to eat them and can also be dangerous to human beings.
When King David was a boy, he killed lions to protect the sheep he was caring for.
