Facts

Gideon was an Israelite man whom God raised up to deliver Israel from their enemies.

Gideon lived during the time, many years after the Israelites moved into Canaan, when a group of people called the Midianites kept attacking them.
Gideon was very fearful of the Midianites, but God used him to lead the Israelites to fight against the Midianites and defeat them.
