Abiathar

Definition

Abiathar was a high priest for the nation of Israel during the time of King David and King Solomon.

Abiathar served alongside of the priest, Zadok.
When King Saul massacred the priests, Abiathar escaped and went to David in the wilderness.
After David's death, Abiathar turned against Solomon by helping Adonijah in his attempt to take away Solomon's kingship.
