# 1 Corinthians 14 General Notes #

Some translations indent quotations from the Old Testament. The ULB does this with the quoted material in 14:21. The ULB also indents each line of poetry in the quotation.

Prophecy is described as a superior gift because it can be used in service of the entire church, unlike the gifts that are primarily helpful to an individual.
