# Jesus said to them
Jesus is speaking to the two disciples.
# slow of heart to believe

# Was it not necessary ... glory?
Jesus uses a question to remind the disciples about what the prophets said. AT: "It was necessary ... glory." (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-rquestion]])

This refers to Jesus beginning to rule and to receive honor and glory.
