# Mark 12 General Notes #

|
Some translations prefer to set apart quotations of the Old Testament. The ULB and many other English translations indent the lines of 12:10-11,36, 17, which are quotations from the Old Testament.

##### Hypothetical Situations #####
|
|
Jesus uses hypothetical situations when he tries to teach people. The Pharisees also use hypothetical situations to try to trap Jesus. (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-hypo]])
