What Is Truth? [39-10] ¿Qué es la Verdad?
Jesus answered, “You have said so, but my kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my servants would fight for me. I have come to earth to tell the truth about God. Everyone who loves the truth listens to me.” Pilate said, “What is truth?” Jesús le contestó, “Ud. lo ha dicho, pero mi reino no es un reino terrenal. Si fuera, mis siervos pelerarían por mí. He venido a la tierra para decir la verdad acerca de Dios. Cada persona que ama la verdad me escucha. “Pilato dijo, “Qué es la verdad?”

Translation Notes:
- You have said so - That is, "You have spoken correctly."
- Tu lo has dicho - Esto es ,"Tu has hablado correctamente."
- my kingdom is not an earthly kingdom - That is, "my kingdom is not like earthly kingdoms."
- mi reino no es un reino terrenal - Esto es, "mi reino no es como los reinos terrenales."
- my servants would fight for me - That is, "my disciples would fight to protect me" so that I could establish my kingdom.
- mis siervos lucharian por mi - Esto, "mis discipulos lucharian para protegerme" asi yo puedo establer mi reino.
- listens to me - This could be translated as, "hears my teaching and obeys me." It includes not just hearing Jesus' words, but also doing what he says.
- escuchame - Esto puede ser traducido como, "oye mis ensenanzas y obedeceme." Esto incluye no solo escuchar las palabras de Jesus, pero tambien hacer lo que el dice.
- What is truth? - that is, "Can anyone know what is true?"
- Cual es la verdad? - esto es, "Alguien sabe lo que es verdad?"
