The подвійне form of a term usually refers to a pair of items.

----------

:ref:`Nouns<noun>` change their form according to their number, either :ref:`однина<number_однина>`,
подвійне, or :ref:`множина<number_множина>`. The подвійне ending does not only mean "two" but usually refers to a pair of something,
such as עֵינַ֥יִם (two eyes) or אָזְנַ֣יִם (two ears).

.. note:: Dual nouns always take :ref:`adjectives<adjective>` with a :ref:`множина<number_множина>` ending, not a подвійне ending.

Форма

Both :ref:`чоловічий<gender_чоловічий>` and :ref:`жіночий<gender_жіночий>` terms take the same подвійне ending,
־ַיִם (pathah-yod-hireq-final mem).
