Jesus said to them
Jesus was speaking to the two disciples.
slow of heart to believe

Was it not necessary ... glory?
Jesus uses a question to remind the disciples about what the prophets said. AT: "It was necessary ... glory" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-rquestion)
to enter into his glory
This refers to Jesus beginning to rule and to receive honor and glory.
