fier, fierté, orgueilleux

Définition :

Les termes «fier» et «orgueilleux» se réfèrent à une personne ayant une trop haute opinion d'elle-même, et de penser qu'elle est meilleur que les autres.

  • Souvent, une personne fière ne reconnaît pas ses propres fautes* Elle n'est pas humble.
  • L'orgueil peut conduire à désobéir à Dieu par d'autres moyens.
  • Les termes «fier» et «fierté» peuvent également être utilisés dans un sens positif, comme étant «fiers» que quelqu'un d'autre a réussi et d'être «fiers» de ses enfants* L'expression «prendre la fierté dans votre travail» signifie trouver de la joie de bien faire votre travail.
  • Quelqu'un peut être fier de ce qu'il a fait sans être orgueilleux à ce sujet.
  • Le terme «orgueilleux» est toujours négatif, avec le sens d'être «arrogant» ou «vaniteux» ou «auto-important*"
  • Le substantif «fierté» pourrait être traduit comme «arrogance» ou «vanité» ou «auto-importance*"
