يشير تعبيري ”مصباح/سراج“ بشكل عامّ إلى شيء يعطي الضوء. كانت المصابيح المستخدمة في زمن الكتاب المقدّس عبارة عن مصابيح يوضع فيها القليل من الزيت.
The type of lamp that was used in Bible times is a small container with a fuel source, usually oil, that gives light when it burns.
إنّ نوع المصباح الذي كان يستخدم في زمن الكتاب المقدّس هو وعاء صغير مزوّد بمصدر وقود، عادةً ما يكون زيتًا، يعطي الضوء عندما يحترق.
