Connecting Statement:

Paul encourages Titus to look for Jesus' coming and remember his authority through Jesus.

the grace of God has appeared ... trains us

worldly passions

"strong desires for the things of this world" or "strong desires for sinful pleasures"

in this age

"while we live in this world" or "during this time"

we look forward to receiving

"we wait to welcome"

our blessed hope, the appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ
