\q1 "Yahweh, we praise you!
|
|
\q2 Previously, you were angry with us,
|
|
\q1 but you are not angry now
|

\q2 and you have comforted us.

|
\v 2 Amazingly, you have come to save us,
|
|
\q2 so we will trust in you and not be afraid.
|
|
\q1 Yahweh our God, you enable us to be strong;
|
|
\q2 you are the one about whom we sing;
|
|
\q2 you have rescued us from our enemies."

\v 3 You, his people, will greatly rejoice because he has rescued you,

\q2 like you enjoy drinking water from a fountain.

\q1 "We should thank Yahweh! We should praise him !

\q2 We should tell the people of all the people groups what he has done;

\q2 we should enable them to know that he is very great!

\v 5 We should sing to Yahweh, because he has done wonderful things.

\q2 We should enable everyone in the world to know it!

\v 6 You people of Jerusalem, shout joyfully to praise Yahweh,

\q2 because he is the great Holy One whom we Israelite people worship,
|
|
\q2 and he lives among us!"
