ULB has 'briers' 14 times and 'briars' twice.

Apparently both spellings can be used to refer to prickly shrubs.
Shall I change briars to briers?

UDB briers 2, briars 0
TN briers 44, briars 4. (One snippet has briers, and its note has briars.)
TQ briers 6, briars 2
TM briers 1. briars 0
TW does not have either

I always speled it briars, but I am good with making it consistent as briers.

I changed "briars" to "briers" since "briers" was more common in our resources.
