ULB Jer 2:20 currently reads:
\v 20 For I broke your yoke that you had in ancient days; I tore your fetters off you. Still you said,
\q 'I will not serve!' Instead, on every high hill and beneath every leafy tree you lay down as a prostitute.
ULB Jer 2:20 suggested changes:
\v 20 Long ago I broke your yoke and tore off your fetters. Still you said,
\q 'I will not serve you!' On every high hill and under every green tree you lay down as a prostitute.

"For" vs Ø
Hebrew: כִּ֣י
ESV has "For"
ULB is adequate.
"in ancient days" vs "long ago"
"in ancient (day)s" is more literal.
Heb: מֵעוֹלָ֞ם 15 times
ULB "in ancient days" - twice
ULB "in ancient times" - 30 times
ULB is adequate.
"Long ago I broke" vs "yoke that you had in ancient days"
Heb: the time phrase comes before the verb and seems to modify the verb.
I don't see any version that has it modifying "yoke".
I think the time phrase should be at the beginning the sentence.
In ancient days I broke
"I tore your fetters off you" vs "and tore off your fetters"
Heb: I have burst your bonds.
ULB uses a verb with a prepositional phrase rather than phrasal verb 'tear off'.
ULB is adequate
"I will not serve" vs "I will not serve you"
Heb: no direct object.
ULB is adequate
Instead" vs Ø
"You have said " ..." Instead ... you lay down.
Instead doesn't fit here.
I think we should delete "Instead"
"leafy" vs "green"
רַעֲנָ֔ן "luxuriant, fresh"
ULB is adequate
Agreed
Updated ULB and TN.
