"instead" vs Ø
Instead is not needed, but ULB is adequate if we don't want any change there.

But I would like to see a verb in v 13.
And I would like to see quotation marks around the "let us eat..." quote (and a colon instead of a semicolon before it.)

Agreed, but do we need to explain this as a quotation in the tN since there is no explicit speaker who is expressing these words?

Here "eat and drink" represents having a party and eating a lot of food and drinking a lot of wine. It can be stated clearly that this is what the people were saying.
