ULB 2Sa 16:18
\v 18 Hushai said to Absalom, "No! Instead, the one whom Yahweh and this people and all the men of Israel have chosen, that is the man to whom I will belong, and I will stay with him.
ULB 2Sa 16:18
\v 18 Hushai said to Absalom, "No, for the one chosen by Yahweh and this people, and all the men of Israel**—I will his, and I will remain with him.

"Instead" vs "for"
כִּי֩
No versions have "Instead".
No need for "Instead.
I think it would be better not to use "for". It could be misunderstood to be a preposition heading the phrase "For the one whom Yahweh ... has chosen" rather than as a conjunction preceding "the one ... that is the man to whom I will belong."
"whom Yahweh and this people and all the men of Israel have chosen" vs "the one chosen by Yahweh and this people, and all the men of Israel"
Active voice is adequate
"that is the man to whom I will belong" vs "I will be his"
Suggestion is more literal and simpler.
But ULB is adequate
"stay" vs "remain"
ULB is adequate
Suggestion:
\v 18 Hushai said to Absalom, "No! The one whom Yahweh and this people and all the men of Israel have chosen, that is the man to whom I will belong, and I will stay with him.
Agreed
I made the change and checked TN.
