ULB Num 24:1 currently reads:

\v 1 When Balaam saw that it pleased Yahweh to bless Israel, he did not go, as at the other times, to use sorcery. Instead, he looked toward the wilderness.

ULB Num 24:1 suggested changes:

\v 1 When Balaam saw that it pleased Yahweh to bless Israel, he did not go, as at the other times, to use sorcery, but he set his face toward the wilderness.

Simple figures of speech should be kept, if they can be understood.
