The ULB of 1Ti 5:23 currently reads:
\v 23 You should no longer drink water. Instead, you should take a little wine for the stomach and your frequent sicknesses.
THe ULB 1Ti 5:23 is suggested changes:
\v 23 No longer drink water, but use a little wine for the stomach and your frequent illnesses.
Tom Warren
This will need a tN to explain that the word "for" has a different relationship to "the stomach" (i.e., to benefit) from what it has to "your frequent illnesses" (i.e., to combat them).
I think the ULB is adequate.
Would this work for a tN?
for the stomach and your frequent sicknesses
"because of your stomach and your frequent sicknesses" or "to help your stomach and to stop your frequent illnesses"
Agreed.
Added tN.
