The phrase "the Mighty One" is usually capitalized in the ULB when it refers to God. Should it also be capitalized in Deu 10:17?
Deu 10:17
\v 17 For Yahweh your God, he is God of gods and Lord of masters, the great God, the mighty one and the fearsome one, who favors no one and takes no bribes.
If "mighty one" is capitalized here, should "fearsome one" be capitalized?
I think we should capitalize "Mighty One" and "Fearsome One" to be consistent.
The ULB of Deu 10:17 used to read:
\v 17 For Yahweh your God, he is God of gods and Lord of masters, the great God, the mighty one and the fearsome one, who favors no one and takes no bribes.
Now the ULB of Deu 10:17 has been changed to read:
\v 17 For Yahweh your God, he is God of gods and Lord of masters, the Great God, the Mighty One and the Fearsome One, who favors no one and takes no bribes.
This has been committed.
Susan and John please check the tN for changes that may need to be made.
Thanks,
Tom
I updated one snippet to match ULB. I didn't think the note itself needed to be changed. Could possibly add this to match the "Fearsome One" note:
the Mighty One
"the one who is mighty"
Thanks, John. I think the "the Fearsome One" note was needed because people might not know what "fearsome" means.
I don't think "the Mighty One" needs a note.
