\v 5 There was a wall surrounding the temple area. The length of the measuring stick in the man's hand was six long cubits. Each long cubit was a cubit and a handbreadth in length. So he measured the wall, and it was one measuring stick thick and one rod high.
ISSUE: Throughout this passage in EZK, "rod" is rendered "measuring stick" or "stick" everywhere except at the end of 40:5.
Suggest changing the ULB of EZK 40:5 to:
\v 5 There was a wall surrounding the temple area. The length of the measuring stick in the man's hand was six long cubits. Each long cubit was a cubit and a handbreadth in length. So he measured the wall, and it was one measuring stick thick and one measuring stick high.
Good, Bob. Thanks.
The ULB of EZK 40:5 now reads:
\v 5 There was a wall surrounding the temple area. The length of the measuring stick in the man's hand was six long cubits. Each long cubit was a cubit and a handbreadth in length. So he measured the wall, and it was one measuring stick thick and one measuring stick high.
