SUGGEST: Either (1) break into three sentences or (2) punctuate with semicolons as follows (since there are commas in each phrase) as is done is many modern English versions:

I changed two of the commas to semicolons.

\v 10 We work as sorrowful, yet we are always rejoicing; as poor, yet we make many rich; as having nothing, yet we possess all things.

I thought it would be good to have TNs addressing the apparent ellipsis (We work as sorrowful ... as poor ... as having nothing) and the odd use of "as".

But now I think it might be good to reconsider 1) the addition of "We work" at the beginning of verses 8, 9, and 10, and 2) the use of "as" in these verses. Ths is why:

Paul and his co-workers did not work "as deceivers."
I don't know what "We work ... as if we were being punished for our actions" would mean.
Was Paul saying that they worked as if they were sorrowful, poor, and having nothing, or was he saying that they really were sorrowful, poor, and having nothing?

Good catch on the "We work" issue. We need to decide how literal we want these verses to be. It is easy to translate them literally, but difficult to understand and possibly translate into GL. We could go literal in ULB and make more translation friendly in UTB.

Suggestion for ULB:

v7 in the word of truth, in the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness in our right hand and the left; [or: with the armor of righteousness on our right hand and left;]

v8 through glory and dishonor, slander and praise; as deceivers, yet truthful

v9 as unknown, yet well-known; as dying, yet, look, we live; as being disciplined, yet not killed;

v10 as sorrowful, yet rejoicing; as poor, yet many are enriched; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.

The ULB has a chunk break before v8. I think we tried to avoid having chunk breaks in the middle of a sentence. How would be good to start a new sentence there -- but instead of "We work" it could repeat the idea of being God's servants from v4?

What would you think of "regarded" in verse 8 to cover the rest of the list?

\v 4 Instead, in every way we commend ourselves as God's servants in much endurance, in affliction, in distress, in hardship,
\v 5 in beatings, in imprisonments, in riots, in hard labor, in sleepless nights, in hunger,
\v 6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in sincere love,
\v 7 in the word of truth, in the power of God, with the weapons of righteousness in our right hand and the left.

If we have to start a new sentence at verse 8, I think your suggestions are good. The word "regarded" seems to work through verse 10.
