\v 4 They will smash all of your altars for worshiping idols and your pillars you use for astronomy, and they will kill many Israelite people in front of their idols.

\v 6 Wherever you live, your towns will be ruined and the places where idols were worshiped on the hilltops will be smashed. Your altars will be completely smashed, and everything that you own will become a pile of ruins.

ISSUE: H2553 (lit. sun pillars; ULB "pillars"; most other English versions "incense altars") is rendered here in v.4 as "your pillars you use for astronomy" and is missing from v.6. The same word is rendered in the UDB "the altars where you burn incense to worship your gods" in LEV 26:30 and "the altars for burning incense to idols" in 2CH 14:5.

Suggest changing the UDB in EZK 6:4 and 6:6 to:

\v 4 They will smash all of your altars for worshiping and burning incense to idols, and they will kill many Israelite people in front of their idols.

\v 6 Wherever you live, your towns will be ruined and the places where idols were worshiped on the hilltops will be smashed. Your idols will be completely smashed, your altars for burning incense will be destroyed, and everything that you own will become a pile of ruins.

I gave this a run-through.
Look it over. The person speaking is Yahweh ...
The worship and commandments are difficult when they are in the passive voice. "they were killed" "be destroyed ..." "be broken" etc Just can't get around it.

The UDB of EZK 6:4-6 is changed to read:

\v 4 I, Yahweh, make this promise to you: Your altars will be destroyed, and the places where you worship idols will all be broken into pieces. I, Yahweh, promise that I will be sure that the Israelite people will be put to death where they worshiped their idols.
\v 5 The dead bodies of the Israelite people will be lying in front of their idols; and their bones will be scattered around their altars.
