# Titus # ## Facts: ## Titus was a Gentile who became a believer through the ministry of the apostle Paul. He was trained by Paul to be a leader in the early churches. * A letter written to Titus by Paul is one of the books of the New Testament. * In this letter Paul instructed Titus to appoint elders for the churches on the island of Crete. * In some of his other letters to Christians, Paul mentions Titus as someone who encouraged him and brought him joy.
