Silver is a shiny, gray precious metal used to make coins, jewelry, containers, and ornaments.

* The containers would include silver cups and bowls, among other things used for cooking, eating, or serving.
|
||
|
* Silver and gold were used in the building of the tabernacle and the temple.The temple in Jerusalem had containers made of silver.
|
||
|
* In Bible times, silver coins and silver weights called shekels were used.
|
||
|
* Joseph's brothers sold him as a slave for twenty shekels of silver.
|
||
|
* Judas was paid thirty silver coins for betraying Jesus.
|
||
|
