In the TM we have a statement about creating a faithful and unbiased translation.

I was talking to Chris, and we thought it may be a good idea to have a similar statement for our other resources (tN, tW, tQ) so end-users know that we do our best to be unbiased.
We can discuss this when we all have time.
We have this instruction in the tM about avoiding biases.
Are you saying that we should have something saying that we have done our best to avoid bias in the ULB and in the resources?
I really can't remember now, but I think we were talking about adding some kind of statement to all the resources saying we have tried to remain unbiased in theological and denomination matters. We could use the "biases" statement in the tm as a model.
Some of the resources may already have a statement like this.
I wonder if it would be enough to add it to the appendix to the ULB. Its appendix touches on some of the qualities of a good translation, but it does not say anything about being faithful (the category that avoiding biases belongs to), historical, or accurate.

The appendices to the other resources don't have anything in them defending their value. Perhaps we can leave them as they are.
I'm reading through the ULB Appendix and trying to find where it would be appropriate to say something about it avoiding any political, denominational, ideological, social, cultural, or theological bias. We told about what the ULB is intended to be, and we told about the ULB not being what people might expect it to be (natural). But bringing up a potential problem (bias) and saying that the ULB is intended not to have that problem seems odd.
What do you think?
I see what you mean about it being difficult to find somewhere to put the statement about being unbiased. I think if we decide to add this statement, we need to have it under a different header, something like "Faithfulness of the ULB." Still, I'm not sure where to place the new section. The ULB appendix already has a nice flow to it. I think either put the section at the very beginning or very end of the document. Or, maybe a sub-heading under "Origin and Purpose of the English ULB."
