Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
The first sentence is long, but it doesn't seem to be full sentence.
Also, it sounds like this is saying that the perfect aspect indicates that the action still has consequences in our age. But I think all it indicates is that the action still had consequences at the time of writing. The action could still have consequences in our age, but I don't think that the perfect indicates that.
How about something like this?
