We may want to go back and look at adverbs again and perhaps adjust their definitions. Not all adverbs seem to fit under "this describes an action or situation" or "this word describes a state of being."
This is in regards to g4459. Susan suggested this for the second use of the adverb.
"Sometimes this word is used instead of words that describe an action or situation. It is an adverb".
She also suggested this for "where, when, why."
I am fine with the idea for interrogative adverbs, but can we say something more precise like “this word is used to ask a question” or something like this?
I have used "This word is used to ask a question" for interrogative pronouns. I am fine with using it for adverbs as well.
