Christians also have fellowship with Jesus (see: 1 Corinthians 1:9). Paul wrote about having fellowship in Jesus’ sufferings (see: Philippians 3:10). Paul wrote this to write about how he wanted to have similar things happen to him that happened to Jesus. He even wanted to suffer like Jesus suffered. He wanted to be like Jesus in this life so that he would be saved and live with Jesus forever.
