Elisha caused an iron ax head to float. He fooled the whole army of Aram that was sent to arrest him. When the king of Aram besieged the capital of Israel, the people became so hungry they started eating their children. Elisha told the king of Israel that there would be plenty of food the next day, but the king's counselor said it was impossible.

کلہاڑی کا لوہا الِیشع کی وجہ سے پانی پر تیرنے لگا۔ اُس نے پوری ارامی فوج کو بیوقوف بنایا جو اُسے پکڑنے آئی تھی۔ جب ارام کے بادشاہ نے اِسرائیل کے دارلحکومت کا محاصرہ کیا ،لوگ بھوک سے اتنے تڑپنے لگے کہ اُنہوں نے اپنے بچوں کو کھانا شروع کردیا۔ الِیشع نے اِسرائیل کے بادشاہ کو بتایا کہ کل تک کثرت سے کھانا مل جائے گا، لیکن بادشاہ کے مُشیر نے کہا یہ نہ مُمکن ہے۔
